Heather Smith-Fernandez, M.D.
Dr. Heather Smith-Fernandez is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellow-trained interventional pain medicine physician, and founder of the Regenerative Institute of Medicine in Naples, FL. Dr. Heather graduated in the first ever class of physicians trained and certified in peptide medicine, and has conducted leading research in the field of peptides for her patients.
Dr. Heather is the founder of Peptology™, and utilizes peptides in all areas of her practice for her patients including: Repair and Recovery, Cognitive Enhancement and Repair (after TBI, stroke, dementia, neurodegenerative disorders), Inflammation, Collagen Production, Sexual Health, Sleep, Auto Immune Conditions, and more. She also trains other physicians in specific Peptology™ protocols in her Naples institute.
Dr Heather is one of only two physicians in the world licensed to use a proprietary autologous cell preparation technique for orthopedic and spine conditions using a patient’s own regenerative cells that are isolated from the blood. She uses this highly-sophisticated technology in her Interventional Regenerative Orthopedic And Spine Medicine practice.
