Yes! As long as you are licensed and practice in a state where Physician Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners are permitted to do these procedures.

We strongly recommend confirming these procedures are in your scope of practice both with your state board as well as your professional liability carrier if you carry malpractice insurance.

If you reside in the U.S., you must be a licensed practitioner who can process and inject PRP to become certified in this course.

We do not currently train naturopathic physicians.

Yes — this course focuses on joint injection technique, not basic PRP setup.

• You must have access to a PRP Processing System - (centrifuge + a kit that has the capability of processing a minimum of 30 mL of whole blood)

• An ultrasound unit is required only if you want to learn and practice ultrasound-guided injections.

Providers without ultrasound can still learn landmark-based or blind injections and observe the full ultrasound workflow.

If interested in purchasing an ultrasound machine for this purpose, Dr Heather can offer recommended options.

No, at this time we do not currently train naturopathic physicians, or non-licensed providers.

If you practice in the U.S., in order to take this course, and be certified in these protocols, you MUST be licensed and practice in a state where practitioners are permitted to do these procedures. (i.e. MDs, Physician’s Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, etc.) 

Yes! You are STRONGLY encouraged to bring a medical assistant or nurse to assist you with this procedures. 

Dr Heather does not do any of these procedures without a medical assistant.

It is a small additional charge for the value that it will bring to your experience and your success when you go home (it's only $997 to add a +1 Assistant).

To be clear, your +1 will be a "non-injecting" participant - meaning they will not be trained or certified on the procedures themselves, but they are welcome and encouraged to learn alongside you.

Anyone traveling with you who is not registered for the course can enjoy our beautiful beaches, world famous golf, deep sea fishing or other activities in Naples while you are in training.

Both! You will actually do part of or all of each procedure depending on the size of the class. You will also observe the other providers performing the procedures on our patients.

No, if you practice in a state where Physician’s Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners are permitted to do these procedures, then it is a separate registration for your PA or ARNP to be able to do them in your practice.

They need to go through this training and get certified the same as you did.

We do NOT recommend trying to leave Saturday evening. If you do, you will undoubtedly miss some of your training. Since we are getting the whole training completed in TWO DAYS, we may still be in training at 6 or 7pm on Saturday.

We will also use whatever time is left Saturday late afternoon and early evening to teach more marketing strategies which you will not want to miss!

If you are coming here between December through May, we recommend booking 2 months in advance if possible to secure your hotel room. We have provided many options in case your first choice is full (see link below).

Our population more than doubles during those “in season” months and often the hotels fill up completely.

There are also AirB&B and VRBO options to look at as well if the hotels are full.

We will provide you with a notebook and a pen as well as all supplies needed for doing the protocols.

We will email you a list of what to bring, suggested attire, and directions, etc. the week leading up to your training dates.
